The iPhone X marks the biggest design change Apple has ever made on its iPhone lineup. Indeed, the Cupertino firm moved away from its tradition aluminium, instead, adopting a glass-back design. Apart from a new design, the X introduced dozens of new features, like Face ID, wireless inductive charging, Animoji, and TrueDepth camera.

However, there is exception to everything and the iPhone X is no different. We have heard some of the problems users are facing with Apple’s 10th anniversary iPhone. With that in mind, we made a list of the most common iPhone X problems and possible fixes.

Screen Not Responsive

A lot of iPhone X owners have reported that the screen on their iPhone X sometimes becomes unresponsive. In reality, this problem once emerged when the iPhone X first launched to the public. However, there is no permanent fix for this problem as it is caused by a hardware issue.

If you are one of those people who are affected by the issue, then we recommend you bring your device to Apple Support Center. Thankfully, Apple is aware of the issue and is willing help you out.

If your iPhone X’s screen stops working in cold weather, then try updating your iPhone to the latest firmware to see if the problem is fixed.

Burn-In Issues

The iPhone X was the first Apple’s smartphone to sport a flexible OLED display, which allows for a better picture quality and clearer viewing. There is no doubt that the X’s screen is ideal for watching videos and gaming, but it has its own problems too.

Some iPhone X owners report that they now have burn-in issues with their phones. In reality, these issues are not new when it comes to the iPhone X, as they popped up last year. Luckily, Apple is aware of the problem and offers some tips on how to fix it.

Restart Your iPhone X

Rebooting your iPhone helps to fix some major problems like frozen keyboard, app crashing, or touch-screen not working. In this case, it may do trick. To reboot your iPhone X, press and hold the Side button and Volume Up/Down button until you see the Power Off button. Use the slider to turn off the device and turn it back on.

Lower Your Screen Brightness

Once your device finishes booting up, then lower your screen brightness. To do this, open Settings, then select General and tap Accessibility. After that, select Display Accommodations and hit Auto-Brightness.

Set Your Screen to Auto-Lock

If the problem still persists, then try setting your X’s screen to Auto-Lock. To do this, open Settings, then select Display & Brightness, and select Auto-Lock. Doing so will set your iPhone to automatically lock after a certain period of time.

Face ID Problems

Face ID is Apple’s new security measure that lets you unlock your device with a glance. The iPhone X features the first-generation Face ID which is a little bit buggy. In reality, a lot of users report that Face ID is not stable on their handsets or stops working.

To fix these problems, try resetting Face ID by going to Settings > Face ID & Passcode. From here, enter your passcode and reset Face ID. Once you are done, set up Face ID again to see if the problem is dealt with.

If the problem is still present, then make sure that your notch is now clean. Indeed, your notch is prone to dirt and dust, which causes Face ID to stop working. You can use a microfiber cloth to clean it up.

Notch is now gone!

If you find the notch annoying, then you can get rid of it. To do this, you can use some apps like Notch Remover, a cool app that lets you remove your iPhone X’s notch.

Charging Problems

The iPhone X comes with the standard wireless charging, allowing you to get up to 70% charged on a single charge. However, a lot of users report that their device fails to charge properly.

To fix iPhone X’s battery problems, you first need to restart your device. After that, try using a different charging cable or Qi-compatible charging pad. If nothing is fixed, then there may be a hardware problem. In this case, contact Apple for support.

Wrapping Up

The iPhone X marks a lot of new things like Face ID, new glass design, and new camera. However, it has its own problems that may ruin your user experience. If you are struggling to deal with iPhone X’s problems, then we are here to help.
