Earlier this month, Jake James released rootlessJB jailbreak tool for iOS 12.1.2 – iOS 12 after months of leaks. The release of the jailbreak tool may be good news for those who are willing to remove restrictions imposed by Apple on their devices. Basically, rootlessJB is an SSH-based jailbreak aimed at developers, but if you are interested in jailbreaking your iPhone, then it’s worth a try.
Unlike other jailbreak tools out there, rootlessJB does not support Cydia, but it allows to run Cydia tweaks on your iPhone. In reality, the process of using rootlessJB may not be straightforward to many users out there. With that in mind, we have you covered.
In this guide, we are going to show you how to jailbreak iOS 12-iOS 12.1.2 using rootlessJB. Before we begin, note that rootlessJB is a tethered jailbreak tool, meaning that it’s only able to temporarily jailbreak your device. If you reboot your device, you need to re-jailbreak it.
Note that rootlessJB is not compatible with A12 Bionic chips, meaning that it won’t work on iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, XR, and 2018 iPad Pro.
