Steps to save photos from Messages to iPhone/iPad
There are two methods to do this: Method 1 works with nearly all iOS versions. Method 2 only works with modern iOS version, so it’s not available on all iPhone and iPad devices. Here we go.
Step 1: First off, you need to launch the Messages app, and then go to a conversation thread with the photo you want to save locally.
Step 2: Next, tap the photo within the message to make it larger on the screen.
Step 3: Tap the sharing icon that looks like a box with the upwards arrow in the corner of the screen.
Step 4: Tap Save Image in the pop-up menu options to save the photo locally to the iPhone/iPad.
