The good news for iCloud users who keep getting spam calendar invitations: Apple has added the Report Junk feature to iCloud Calendar so that users can report a calendar invitation as junk if the sender is not in your contacts. Before getting started, note that the Report Junk feature is currently available by logging in to iCloud.com and reporting the invite from there.

Steps to report a Calendar invite as junk

Step 1: Point your web browser to iCloud.com.

Step 2: Type in your Apple ID and password and then hit Enter to sign in.

Step 3: Click on Calendar.

Step 4: Double-click on the offending event invitation.

Step 5: Choose Report Junk that is located below the sender name.

Steps to set Calendar invites to go to your email instead

You can set your invitations to move to your email account instead of directly to Calendar by doing the following:

Step 1: Point your web browser to iCloud.com.

Step 2: Type in your Apple ID and password and then hit Enter to sign in.

Step 3: Click on Calendar.

Step 4: Click on the Settings icon that looks like a cog and sits in the bottom left corner of your screen.

Step 5: Click on Preferences.

Step 6: Choose Advanced when a pop-op window appears.

Step 4: Check the box for Email to [email address].

Step 5: Lastly, click on Save.

Steps to create a Spam calendar

Step 1: First and foremost, you will need to open the Calendar app on your iPhone.

Step 2: Tap Calendars > Edit.

Step 3: Under the iCloud section, tap Add Calendar.

Step 4: Enter a name for the calendar Spam.

Step 5: Once you are finished, tap Done.

Step 6: Tap Back at the top corner of the screen to return to the calendar view.

Step 7: Tap on the spammed invitation.

Step 8: Tap Calendar below the invitation name.

Step 9: Tap Spam to add the invitation to the new Spam calendar.

Steps to delete a Spam calendar

Step 1: Once you are in the main calendar view, tap Calendars at the bottom center of the screen.

Step 2: Tap Edit > Spam.

Step 3: Scroll down to the bottom and tap Delete Calendar.

Step 4: Tap Delete Calendar again to confirm the deletion.
