Watermarks are useful for legal documents or other sensitive documents that you may want to mark as confidential. Typically a watermark is large faint text in the background, with a low opacity so that the content above is still readable. This step by step guide will tell you how to insert watermarks in Apple Pages.
How to Insert Watermarks in Apple Pages on your Mac
1. Insert a Text Box
2. Type the word Confidential in the box and set the font size and color appropriately
3. Use the Inspector panel to set the Opacity to 30%, choose View -> Show Inspector
4. With the Text Box object selected (not the text inside it), Rotate the Text Box using the Inspector panel. Click the Metrics button (Ruler symbol) and use the jogging wheel at the bottom of the Inspector panel to set the rotation, or type the angle. (I used 50 degrees)
7. To tell Pages to insert the object on every page of your document, choose Format -> Advanced -> Move Objects to Section Master
